So, I’ve been pretty lazy about updates lately.  Luckily, the out-of-town arrival of Ayeisha Mesinger, glamourous handbag maven of Morgan Parish inspired an impromptu Taco & Margarita night shindig hosted by the lovely and talented Lydia Ellison of Apples & Onions.  Grapefruit margaritas were passed around in lovely glasses rimmed with pink Himalayan salt, and we shipped and watched the sunset.  Lydia braised pork for tacos and every mouthwatering drop was scraped out of the pan by evening’s end.  Add to that her sauteed veggies, red cabbage salad, and pickled carrots and you have the makings for an amazing feast.  Everyone brought a little something - rice, beans, guacamole, chips - and my contribution was dessert - a theme fitting Horchata Cupcake.  A soft, cinnamon explosion, these (gluten free / vegan) treats were the perfect cap to a delicious meal.  The only problem...making sure there was enough room to eat two.
